neuroelectrophysiology laboratory
The neuro-electrophysiologicallaboratory was founded in 2014. The major purpose of the lab is to provide an electrophysiological research platform for clinical and translational research. At present, the main research topics in our lab are as follows: (1) understanding the mechanism of epileptogenesis, (2) researching and developing new technologies for epilepsy diagnosis, (3)exploring and developing new strategies and techniques to treat epilepsy.
At present, an electrophysiological research platform has been established in our laboratory. The platform can provide technologies including: cell and brain slice electrophysiological recording (patch clamp and field potential recording), in vivo multi-channel electrophysiological recording, small animal stereotactic operations, long range video EEG recording, acute and chronic in vivo neurotransmitter detection, automatic seizure detection, and automatic high frequency oscillations analysis.
In the past few year, we has obtained 3 the National Natural Science Foundations of China, 1 key project of Beijing Natural Science Foundation, 2 Beijing Institute of Brain Disorders Foundation and published 17 research papers, among which 7 SCI papers and 1 authorized patent. we have organized the two workshop on new advances in neuroelectrophysiological technology and its clinical application, and co-organized the workshop with the center for microelectrode technology research of the university of Kentucky on "real-time neurotransmitter measurement in vivo".
