Brain Injury and Protection
The Laboratory of Brain Injury and Protection was established in 2011. Prof. Liu Kejian,the director of the lab,is awarded by the program of Sea Poly Project of Beijing Overseas Talents. The lab has currently 3 researchers and 2technicians. We are focus on: (1) mechanism of normobarichyperoxia in cerebral protection during stroke; (2) mechanism of zinc in brain injury; (3) the nerve damage, oxidative stress and metal toxicity.
Until now, over 10 doctoral and mastersstudentshave received technical training in our lab. Our research hasbeen sponsored by many grants, including 3 programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 program from BeijingNatural Science Foundation, and Beijing Nova program. Our team haspublished 21 high impact SCI papers and 18 papers inChinesejournals. We have intensive and constant international cooperationwith the Brain Center of the University of New Mexico.
