Nephrology

The Department of Nephrology is composed of three parts, including the outpatient, the inpatient ward and the Blood Purification Center, with 25 beds and 23 hemodialysis beds. The Blood Purification Center of our department is equipped with 4 double pump hemodialysis machines and 2 continuous blood purification (CRRT) machines. The average number of hospitalizations is 740 every year, and the annual outpatient amount is 58000.

Doctors in our department are qualified and proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of different kinds of primary and secondary renal diseases. Our team is also professional of various clinical technologies, including the renal biopsy, the hemodialysis, the hemoperfusion, the hemofiltration, the hemodiafiltration, the plasma exchange, the peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, the establishment and maintenance of vascular access and so on. The level of clinic and management ranks in the tops in China.

As the Standardized Training Base for Beijing residents and the Hemodialysis Training Base of Beijing Municipal Health Commission, we have trained a colony of qualified physicians and nephrologists with experienced professional skills for our country. At the same time, our team have undertaken variety of national and municipal research programs involving multiple research fields, including integrated diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease in the elderly, the repair of complex hemodialysis vascular access, etc. Our research results have been publicated in high impact academic journals at home and abroad.
